On Lord Su's birthday each year, Jing An Temple holds birthday rites, a procession and a peace banquet, and exchanges incense with allied temples — the village's most important religious event of the year.
4th Lunar Month
Birthday Rites
Devotees gather to celebrate Lord Su's birthday, performing the Three Offerings and chanting scriptures, praying for the peace of the whole community.
Procession
Lord Su's palanquin goes forth in procession, circling the village to drive away evil and bring blessing, guarding the community.
Peace Banquet
After the procession, a peace banquet is held where villagers dine and rejoice together, strengthening clan and community bonds.
Temple Fellowship · Incense Exchange
Exchanging incense, welcoming palanquins and ritual courtesies with allied temples, revealing the deep fellowship between Taiwan's temples.
